The use of the SPAX washer head 6 x 140mm screws is a much quicker and easier method of attaching top and bottom plates to studs compared with steel plate and strap connections.
The Ground Serration/4CUT tip means no pre-drilling (wood dependent), and it helps to reduce splitting. The Square end displaces the fibres and reduces screwing in torque.
