Size

The stainless steel grade of the screws (304) gives the screws a high corrosion and weather resistance, increased fracture torque, and makes them suitable for outdoor use and close to water applications.

For best results, we recommend pre-drilling and pre-countersinking holes.

Pre-drilling may be necessary in extremely hard timbers.

For highly corrosive environments, we recommend the use of the 316 Stainless Steel coloured screw only (not vintage or black coated).

TIP:

Protection: Harsh chemical cleaners for timber may damage the screw surface. Please wash any residue off immediately for longer enjoyment.

Recommendation: Our black coated S2 decking screws are best used for surfaces with low mechanical stress. In decking areas with heavy foot traffic, we recommend the S2 screws with our silver stainless finish.
